Shaun lead the Norman & Underwood team that won the NFRC 2015 award in the ‘Fully Supported Metal Roofing’ category.

The project submitted was the traditional renewing of the copper cladding on the dome of Northumberland Observatory, Cambridge University, a building dating back to the 1830’s.

Project: The Highcross Bell Tower, Leicester

The Highcross Bell Tower project involved the replacement of an ageing copper dome using 0.6mm milled copper standing seams. The original copper had reached the end of its service life, with splits evident throughout the existing works. The replacement restored both performance and architectural integrity through precise detailing and traditional hard metal expertise

Project: Copper Dome, Tidworth

This award-winning project used 0.6mm milled copper standing seams to replace an existing copper dome, restoring the structure with durable, beautifully detailed hard metal workmanship.
